National civic campaign
Love Your Street
A clean South Africa is not built by someone else. It is built street by street, by the people who live there. Residents, schools, churches, businesses, stokvels, neighbourhood groups — this campaign belongs to all of us.

How to participate
Five simple steps
Take the pledge
Commit to loving your street — alone, with your family, or with your whole road.
Pick your patch
Your verge, your corner, your block. Agree who covers what with your neighbours.
Clean and green
Sweep, pick up litter, clear storm drains, plant something. Small acts, repeated.
Make it regular
A standing hour each week or month. Consistency is what changes a street.
Share your story
Photograph the change and submit it — your street could be the weekly spotlight.
The pledge
“I pledge to love my street, keep my community clean, and help build a South Africa we can all be proud of.”
Sharing and pledge-count features activate at launch — buttons are wired for the future endpoint.
Which town will lead?
Municipalities compete on participation: streets adopted, clean-ups held, volunteers out. The leaderboard goes live as submissions arrive — and the winners join the Clean Cities Spotlight.
Your street, featured
Every week one street's story is featured on the homepage — the people, the before/after, the difference it made. Placeholder until the first submissions land.
Posters & guides
A downloadable toolkit — posters, a clean-up checklist, school and church guides — will be available here. Download placeholder.
Join the Love Your Street Campaign
Submit your street's story — photos, people, progress — and put your community on the map.
